Guardian Med Legal is the brainchild and dreamwork of our managing partner Dr. Satvik N Pai. He is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Medicolegal Consultant. He completed his MBBS from St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore and M.S Orthopaedics from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai. He is currently practising at HOSMAT Hospital, Bangalore. He did his legal training in Medical Law at the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore which is widely regarded as the No.1 law school in the country. He has also completed fellowships and certificate courses in the field of medical law.

He started practising in the field of medical law by consulting for a law firm based in Maharashtra. He acquired a wealth of experience in the field handling a variety of medicolegal cases involving diverse medical subspecialities and legal issues. After having practised in the legal field for several years as a MedicoLegal Consultant and helping a large number of healthcare professionals he realised the dire need for an all-encompassing medicolegal service that was tailor-made to suite the unique requirements of healthcare professionals. He then established Guardian Med Legal Consulting and has been the driving force behind the continuous growth of the firm in terms of popularity and reach.

Over the past decade, he has gone on to write several articles in the press and journals on a wide array of medicolegal issues. He has delievered talks at several National and International Conferences on medicolegal topics. He believes that increasing awareness among medical professionals about medical law and several practical aspects of it will be the greatest safeguard for healthcare professionals. He has made it his life's mission to bridge the divide between medicine and law in India. At Guardian Med Legal Consulting he is personally involved in the handling and co-ordination of all clients and cases.

The Legal Team

Guardian Med Legal Consulting has a legal team that consists of lawyers that have decades of exerpience dealing with medicolegal matters. We specifically scout lawyers who specialise in handling medicolegal matters and have a basic understanding of medical issues.

Law, like medicine, is a very vast field with various subspecilaities. Handling medicolegal matters not only requires an in depth knowledge about laws specific to healthcare, but also an understanding of medical principles. We choose our associates after careful review of handling of medicolegal matters and after having worked with them on several matters. We also enrol the services of various legal and medical experts or specialists for specific cases as required.

Our legal team meets regularly to review all cases to ensure we provide the best possible legal strategy and recommendations to all our clients. While our asssociates provide legal representation in courts of law in the state of Karnataka only, we have built partnerships with various advocates across the country for the legal reperesenation of our clients. Our legal team thus has been handling cases seamlesslessly across the country, with the overseeing and co-ordination of cases done through video-conferencing. Our team is involved in the legal and medical research, strategising, drafting and trial preperations to ensure our high standards are maintained throughout.
